Company History
Kings is a family-run business founded in the UK in 1992. Kings specialises in the design and installation of high-end kitchens and wardrobes.
Kings have come a long way since their humble beginnings. Those were the days when the current Chairman Mr M Ramji set up displays in his conservatory, stock in his garage, along with a small ceramic tile shop in West Drayton.
After sustained growth mainly thanks to customer recommendations, the company outgrew its premises and moved in January 1995 to a new business park in Willesden, North West London.
Kings always took note of their customer’s feedback and created market trends by designing new and exclusive kitchen and bedroom ranges. A stylish and affordable range of bedrooms was added to the portfolio in 1996.
By august 2000 the initial 6,000 square feet of warehouse space had more than doubled to 14,000 square feet with the addition of more Units at Cygnus Business Park. In 2004 we opened a High Street showroom on the Edgware Road, West Hendon. This gave much easier access to our expanding retail customer base.
In 2007 we took opportunity to re-locate our Head Office to a nearby much larger and more suitable location in Park Royal – Europe’s largest business district.
Our impressive showroom in park royal allows callers to inspect all our latest stock, manufacturing and distributing facilities.
With experienced consultants on hand offering impartial advice on all our products.
Mr Ramji continues to play an active role in the day-to-day running of this vibrant young company, ably supported by his family, branch managers and staff.
Exhibitions
Kings began by exhibiting at local community events, moving on to larger exhibitions such as ASIA LIVE in 2000 at Wembley exhibition centre. The following year they took part in the inaugural trade exhibitions KITCHENS AND BATHROOMS EXPO at the ExCel Centre in Docklands, London. 2002 saw the next logical step and we took pride of place in the IDEAL HOME SHOW at Earls Court in London.
During this period the staff gave 110 percent and helped make the Ideal Home Exhibition a fantastic Success. The grand design live is the latest addition at excel London.
Social
Right from the beginning Kings Kitchens have had a philosophy of not forgetting the hand that feeds them. With that in mind they keep strong social links by hosting Diwali or Christmas parties most years, where they invite customers and associates of Kings. Kings Kitchens have built up a strong association with Temples, Community centres and the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in West Kensington, London. The Bhavan Centre supports and encourages arts and cultural awareness, through academic courses in Music, Dance Languages, and Drama. Kings have sponsored complete drama productions exclusively, to show appreciation to their clients and guests.
